Our special girl Lyric has filled a void her mother, Rose, left in our hearts, and stepped up to the Throne!  She is a joy to have at home, always well behaved and wanting to please us.  It is wonderful to see her interact with our children as she loves them and is very patient.  Lyric is one we take everywhere, whether it be camping, or a friend or relatives home.  We continually get compliments on her beauty, manners, sweetness and obedient nature.  I thoroughly enjoyed showing Lyric in the conformation ring!  She always had that "look at me" attitude, and her side gait was exceptional!  During her show career she earned Best of Breed over specials out of the classes, and a Bred By Exhibitor Group 1 at a large AKC show.

Lyric has had 2 litters, and I am very pleased to say she produced Ch. Sondaisa's Top Gun at Westar, "Gunner", owned by Steve and Marilyn Walker at Westar Akitas.  Gunner was ranked #2 Akita for Best of Breed wins per the American Kennel Club Awards for shows from Jan. 2000 through July 2000.

The loss of Lyric was indeed a great loss for our entire family, but especially me.  Sometimes I feel her presence in a room and it makes me smile to know she is still looking after me.  Thank you Lyric for being such an important part of my life and my friend.  The kids and I miss you terribly!   Rest well sweet girl!
