Cuervo is
our Gold x Kash son co-bred with our
our good friends Rick and Teresa Witte at Stardust Akitas.
Cuervo has received both his majors by taking a 4-point major at
the Lacey, Washington shows August of 2002, also receiving Best of
Breed over Specials! All from the Puppy Class! Following these
exciting wins, Cuervo went to the Regional Specialty down in
Texas to receive his second 4-point major and a Best In Sweepstakes!
Cuervo also
won the prestigious Best Puppy In Show at the 2002 Akita Club of
America National Specialty, he also received Grand Prize Futurity
and Reserve Winners Dog. We are very excited about Cuervo's
future in and out of the show rings!
In March 2003
Cuervo finished his AKC championship and in May 2003 tried his
luck as a Special at barely 18 months old. Much to our delight he
earned a Group 2 under Judge Asa Mays and a Group 3 under Judge
Kimberley Ann Meredith. His 3rd weekend out as a Special he beat
the #1 Akita in the country 2 days in a row. If that was not
enough, he then took a Working Group 1 under Judge Roger Pritchard.
Update:
Cuervo took a Group 3 with incredible competition at the Whidbey
Island Kennel Club shows November 2003 under respected Judge Arley
Hussein
We are excited
about Cuervo's potential as he matures... He only gets
Better!
Cuervo is retired now, but no one, including Cuervo, is
unhappy about that. He is one of the most incredible dogs I
have ever had the pleasure of knowing. As a complete house dog
he has taken up playing with the Cavalier, Harmony. In fact,
she can take bones right from his mouth. He also enjoys
sleeping on beds, when he doesn't get caught. He also greets
all that enter our home. He enjoys the beach and also has been out
on the boat a few times. Not certain how much he likes that.
Watching him interact with our children, completely warms my heart.
I am so proud to share my life with Cuervo and know that he is ours. |
